Office worker Lin Xiaoman accidentally triggers a curse from an ancient pocket watch—she must kiss the "first person she locks eyes with" every midnight, or she'll be plagued by bad luck! And that "chosen one" is none other than her snarky boss, Lu Shiyan! From mutually despised "kiss partners" to slowly discovering each other's hidden tenderness: Lu secretly helps her avoid overtime, Lin makes ginger tea for his insomnia... But when Lin learns the pocket watch was Lu's late mother's relic, and he knew the curse truth all along, is this "mandatory kiss" a twist of fate, or a premeditated heartbeat?
