Village girl Su Xiaoman runs an old herb shop to care for her terminally ill grandma, hiding a secret of congenital heart disease. City doctor Lin Shen, on the run after a medical accident, comes to the village and pretends to be a volunteer teacher to get close to the shop—the "life-saving herb" he’s searching for grows exactly on the hill behind Xiaoman’s house. From mutual suspicion to hidden affection, their relationship is shaken when Lin Shen discovers Xiaoman is the daughter of the patient he failed to save years ago, and Xiaoman’s heart is failing as the flower season fades. How can their love bloom amid redemption and guilt?
