Antique restorer Zhao Yingnan unexpectedly receives a Ming Dynasty floating lantern with her childhood doodles. Inside lies a clue to the missing national treasure, the "East China Sea Night Pearl"—and Cai Chengyuan, the cultural relics anti-smuggling officer chasing the pearl, is exactly "Little A Yuan", the boy she released lanterns with at seven, only to be separated by a fire. When they reunite over the lantern, cultural relics traffickers start hunting them: the lantern's secret isn't just about the treasure, but also the truth of the fire—did the Cai family make him "disappear" to protect the relic? Or was someone behind the fire to cover up smuggling? This floating lantern illuminates a ten-year bond and makes them rediscover the unspoken childhood promise, even in danger.
