Li Yutong, an advertising professional, missed her grandfather's last moments due to her relentless work. Guilt-ridden, she returns to her hometown's old house and stumbles upon her grandfather's “Bright Moon Cake” journal—revealing he gave up opening a branch in Shanghai to stay with her, every page filled with “I want Tongtong to eat the sweetest moon cake”. Then, her long-lost childhood friend Chen Mo appears, who has been guarding the old cake shop and keeping the “Bright Moon Cake poster” Yutong drew as a kid. While recreating the moon cake, Yutong finally understands her grandfather's words: “The moon lights the heart” isn't about the cake—it's the passion for life and the original intention of love. She resolves her regret with her grandfather, regains her lost self from work, and rekindles her youthful feelings with Chen Mo.
