Su Wanyin, a top Peking Opera dan actress, marries into a wealthy family only to face betrayal: her husband Lu Jingchuan colludes with his first love to frame her—her child miscarries, she’s labeled a "child-killer" by her mother-in-law, and even blacklisted for "being a diva". At her lowest, she picks up her dusty "Red Actress" costume and makes a stunning comeback with *Farewell My Concubine*. She not only slaps back the rumors with her strength but also uncovers Lu’s plot to embezzle the opera troupe’s assets. When those who once trampled her beg for forgiveness, she’s already become her own "overlord" on stage and finds true love with Lin Shen, her troupe师弟 who’s always guarded her.
