In 1990s China, dancer Lin Xiaoman and pianist Chen Mo fall in love at an army art troupe, only to be torn apart by societal changes. Two decades later, when Xiaoman returns as a renowned choreographer, she discovers Chen Mo still waiting in their old music store.
