For a thousand years, skeleton Ling Wei has lingered by the banks of the Yellow Spring, haunted by the regret of failing to save her lover who died at her hands centuries ago. She breaks free from the underworld’s grasp to come to the mortal realm, disguising herself as a frail girl. But her bone-white form is exposed whenever she touches a living person, and she’s constantly hunted by underworld messengers. By chance, she meets Chen Yan, a forensic doctor who looks exactly like her dead lover. She must hide her true identity, uncover the truth behind her lover’s tragic death, and stop her bone body from decaying further with every step closer to Chen Yan—her time in the mortal world is running out.
