Truck driver Lao Li single-handedly raises his daughter Xiaoyu with meager income but never complains. When Xiaoyu is diagnosed with a condition requiring expensive surgery, Lao Li works day and night delivering food to raise funds. Just as the medical fees are nearly covered, Lao Li gets into a car accident due to exhaustion.
