In the 1970s, Lin Man, an orphaned girl gifted with superhuman strength, is shunned by her village for her rumored ill-fated destiny. When Lu Chenzhou – an exiled capitalist heir passing through the village – catches her eye with his elegant demeanor, Lin Man seizes her chance. She hoists the 'delicate scholar' over her shoulder, declaring a sack of potatoes as her dowry, and forces a marriage in her thatched hut. But at night, the bound groom effortlessly seizes her wrist, his grip steely. By flickering candlelight, he whispers against her ear: 'Your knots are amateur... Who taught you to kidnap a husband, wife?' Lin Man realizes she’s captured a predator – and Lu Chenzhou willingly walked into her trap, planning to use her as his ultimate pawn in a dangerous game of revenge where passion and conspiracy collide.
