In 1930s China, architect Cheng Mo returns to his ancestral home to restore the family mansion, only to find it surrounded by a thousand ancient lanterns that spontaneously ignite at midnight. As he investigates the eerie phenomenon with lantern-keeper Su Li, they uncover a century-old blood feud hidden beneath the flickering lights.
