Lin Chu, a down-and-out prince, once received a meal from the late Crown Princess Shen Qing. When he learns she's framed by a powerful minister for 'killing her husband and betraying the country' and imprisoned in the cold palace, he resolutely returns to the capital to save her. Disguised as commoners to investigate the truth, they accidentally get involved in the succession struggle—the minister wants to destroy the Crown Prince's evidence, and the emperor uses them to lure out rebels. With his business talent, Lin Chu earns his first pot of gold and outwits the minister; Shen Qing also reveals her past as a 'scholar who can stabilize the country'. From 'protecting each other' to 'fighting side by side', they eventually expose the truth, restore Shen Qing's honor, and the feelings hidden under their 'sibling bond' quietly grow during their counterattack.
