In 1986, at the state-owned big factory 'Zhenxing Factory', Lin Jianjun, a newly confirmed technical backbone, was expelled from the exclusive canteen only for core employees after contradicting the supervisor who embezzled welfare. He thought his future was ruined, but the factory was secretly preparing a new project that urgently needed his technical support. Rejected by the canteen, he got to know veteran technicians and new colleagues at the temporary worker's stall. While solving technical problems, he also uncovered the supervisor's conspiracy of misappropriating project budget. Finally, Lin Jianjun not only returned to the core team, but the factory also set up a special technical canteen for him.
