Now Xiaoman has forgotten “Gu Shen” but remembers “Chen Mo.” Trapped between the “forgotten present” and “remembered past,” Gu Shen dares not reveal his identity, fearing she’ll recall the pain of his “disappearance”; while Xiaoman gradually realizes—the “present” she forgot is exactly the “past” she’s always wanted to keep.
