Su Wan, the top performer of an opera troupe, is abducted into Warlord Lu Jingshen's mansion late at night. Lu claims it's "protection," but in reality, he imprisons her like a caged golden canary. While she uses her pipa playing to gain trust and secretly plots her escape, she discovers her mother's jade hairpin and an unsent letter under Lu's pillow: "Wanwan is my only daughter, please keep her safe." When a黑衣人 breaks in with a gun, Su Wan realizes what she's fleeing isn't a "cage"—it's a family extermination revenge. And Lu Jingshen? He's the "protector" her mother traded her life for.
