Slacker Zhang Xiaofan inherits a crumbling Taoist temple after its master flees massive debts. Trapped with daunting bills, he accidentally discovers a mystical manual beneath an old prayer mat. Desperate for cash, he launches comedic exorcism livestreams using ridiculous talismans, skyrocketing to viral fame. When loan sharks storm the temple, Xiaofan nervously draws the manual's 'Five Thunder Seal'—blasting thugs into the sky. But his triumph shatters as blood-red dew oozes from an unmarked stele: the first sign of the curse warning in the manual's final page. Now he must pay the real price for borrowed magic, or become the next runaway Taoist.
