Ten years ago, Gu Yan was a prodigal young master from a wealthy family who aggressively pursued Su Qing, a poor but elegant school beauty, but was rejected due to his arrogance. Now, after his family's downfall, Gu Yan works as a waiter in a restaurant, while Su Qing has become a successful CEO through her own efforts. When the two meet again by chance, Su Qing sees the once-proud boy now filled with落魄 (despair) and tenacity in his eyes. The unspoken feelings and regrets from the past drive her to take the initiative. She frequently appears in Gu Yan's life under the guise of business cooperation, using tenderness and patience to break down his自卑感 (inferiority complex), and proving with actions that her rejection back then was not dislike, but a hope for love on equal terms. Thus begins a sweet and satisfying pursuit journey with reversed roles, as the former 'pursued' becomes the master of love, weaving a heartwarming tale of rekindled love amidst the blend of reality and memories.
