Lu Zhao regretted neglecting his wife Lin Wan for his career in his previous life, watching her die in poverty and illness. Reborn on the second day of their 1990 wedding, he swears to retrieve all the missed moments—buying train tickets to her mother’s before she sells her dowry, shielding her from a factory accident, and even taking down the uncle who betrayed them in his past life. But Lin Wan, once docile to a fault, now flinches and asks: "Lu Zhao, what are you plotting again?" As the "reborn wife-chaser" faces a wife still afraid of him and enemies lurking in the shadows, can Lu Zhao use the food stamps, coal stoves, and hot congee of 1990 to reheat their once-cold marriage into the warmest domestic bliss?
