In the streets, everyone mocks Lu Qiniang, a muscular butcher girl, unaware of her chivalrous spirit. When a fallen general flees to her stall in embarrassment, Qiniang disregards public criticism and her own safety, using all her savings to save him. Since then, their companionship adds warmth to the city life: she blocks pursuers for him, he shelters her from storms. A passionate tale of mutual protection that breaks class prejudice unfolds quietly in an ordinary alley.
