When a severe drought paralyzes the land and chaos looms, Xia Man, a peasant girl, regains memories from a post-apocalyptic world. Aware of the coming famine and human cruelty, she defies greedy relatives who attempt to seize their property and drive her, her grandma and little brother out. Fleeing to barren lands, she uses apocalypse-learned skills to gather herbs, cultivate wasteland, and run a makeshift clinic for displaced villagers. She fights wits against pursuing relatives while building a warm home, bringing hope to herself and others in chaotic times.
