Zhao Gongming, the God of Wealth, was banished to the mortal world for refusing to grant the God of Poverty special favors, losing all his powers and becoming a street beggar. Lin Xiaoman, a snack shop owner with innate koi luck, had just been scammed out of her brother’s medical fees and was crying by the roadside when she spotted the old God of Wealth pendant around Zhao Gongming’s neck—mistaking him for a "fellow down-and-out god", she dragged him home without hesitation: "Let’s team up to make money—we’ll definitely turn things around!" The God of Poverty wouldn’t let up, causing trouble daily: the snack shop was vandalized, ingredients destroyed, customers demanded refunds. Zhao Gongming could only use his remaining divine power to cover it up secretly. But as they lived together, he fell in love with the optimistic and resilient Lin Xiaoman—love between the God of Wealth and a koi is a heavenly taboo! Was their encounter on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year a blessing or a curse? When Zhao Gongming regains his powers and prepares to return to Heaven, will he choose fate or love?
