Lin Shuisheng, a poor young man in 1977 rural China, lives with a tattered Qiankun Bag left by his grandfather. One day, he accidentally activates the bag’s magic—it links to the wardrobe of Su Xiao, a 2024 urban white-collar worker. He uses modern seeds and tools from Su to help his village escape poverty; she witnesses her parents’ youthful past through the bag.
