Emergency doctor Zuo Yi always ends her night shift as dawn breaks through the hospital corridor, only to run into her boyfriend Wang Nan, who has been missing for three months—this man who once promised to "earn enough dowry to marry you" is now reeking of alcohol, clutching a crumpled engagement ring. It turns out he's been hiding in a village-in-the-city since his business failed, sneaking to watch her office light until midnight every night; while in Zuo Yi's drawer, there's still the couple's mug he left behind, with the faint words "Wait for me" carved at the bottom. As the first ray of morning light brushes their hair, how will two people who clearly love each other tear through the barrier of "I'm afraid to drag you down"?
