Lin Shen, an undercover narcotics officer, has posed as a "criminal heir" in a drug cartel for three years. But he encounters his amnesiac ex-girlfriend Su Wan—now a forensic doctor investigating a dismemberment case—during a deal, who is getting closer to his "dark identity". While hiding their secrets and under the cartel's surveillance, they search for the truth about Su Wan's disappearance years ago. Their old engagement ring, once a symbol of love, becomes the "faint flame" that unlocks the cartel's conspiracy. As the fog of the "dark night" lifts, can they reclaim each other amid gunfire, and can the "flame" of justice burn away all evil?
