Eighty-year-old Lin Jianguo is the neighborhood's notorious "stubborn geezer," spending days playing chess and bickering in the security booth—no one knows he was once the unbeatable "North Border Sword King" three decades ago. Until his grandson Lin Xiaoyu is cornered at home by usury collectors. When a steel pipe swings at Xiaoyu, the old man grabs a broom and takes down seven thugs in seconds—unleashing buried past. Old enemies from his jianghu days arrive for revenge, while Xiaoyu resents his grandpa for "showing off." Caught between grudges and the generation gap, Lin Jianguo growls: "I survived as the Sword King—now I'll protect my grandson. Anyone who hurts him? They'll face me!" When the "invincible warrior" becomes a "grandpa on a mission," this late-life "protection battle" hits harder than any sword fight he's ever known.
