Lin Wan (played by Wang Qianhui) and Gu Zhaoming (played by Wei Tianhao) were high school sweethearts. Back then, Gu secretly gave up his guaranteed university admission to work and raise money for Lin's eye surgery, but Lin misunderstood him as cheating. Twenty years later, Lin works as a nurse in a nursing home, while Gu is a terminally ill patient there. When they reunite, Gu is in the final stage of cancer, and both hold unspoken secrets—Gu has been searching for Lin all these years, and Lin still keeps the glass marble he gave her. In their twilight years, can they unravel the old misunderstanding and make up for the half-life they missed before time runs out?
