A’ou, a little immortal guarding the lotus roots in the Jasper Lake, has been watching over a thousand-year-old spiritual lotus root for five hundred years—that’s the soul of her past-life lover Minsheng. Five hundred years ago, Minsheng sacrificed his soul to seal the lotus root and save her from heavenly punishment, but she mistook it for “betrayal and escape”. Now the lotus root has taken human form: Minsheng, who has lost his memory, becomes a naive and straightforward “lotus root immortal” chasing A’ou to “repay her kindness”. However, the heavenly rules forbid love between immortals and mortals, and as the Jasper Lake stirs, the truth emerges: his “betrayal” was a lie to trade his life for hers… And this time he’s back to save her again?
