Chun Tian, trapped in a late-night convenience store since her sister's accidental death three years ago, uses cold coffee and silence to shut out all warmth. Then Sun Jun, a community maintenance worker, steps in — he hands her a ladder when she can't reach the light bulb, gives her his umbrella in the rain and gets soaked, even slips a fruit candy into her shopping bag secretly. Just as Chun Tian finally dares to say, "I want to try moving on," Sun Jun vanishes, leaving a note: "I saved your sister; I also failed to hold her." At the end of the long night, can the tenderness hidden in the candy wrappers help them overcome guilt and fear, and hold each other's hands at last?
