Lin Wan, a tavern owner in Jiangnan, spends his days selling wine with his childhood sweetheart Azhu, thinking he’ll live a quiet life forever. Until one day, a cold, beautiful woman bursts in with a sword: “Your Majesty, it’s time to return to the palace and reclaim the throne.” Lin Wan learns he’s the late emperor’s son, sent away in secrecy years ago.
