Lin Wan is the guardian of Wuling Mountain Reserve. Three years ago, she broke up with her first love Nie Zixuan due to a misunderstanding. Now, Nie returns as a journalist investigating illegal logging. On a stormy night, he strays into Lin's monitoring station, forcing them to coexist—he doubts the guardian is covering for the destroyers, while she hides the secret of giving up studying abroad to protect him back then. As dusk envelopes the mountains, the loggers' traces, unspoken feelings, and the truth behind their past separation all emerge little by little with the night rain.
