Hailing from a rural village, Lin Xinyue traveled to South City to stay with her distant aunt, only to find her aunt’s family had long moved away. Penniless and stranded, she took temporary shelter at a quiet alley bookstore, where she met the taciturn shop owner Chen Yan. A thread-bound book with tucked yellowed old photos accidentally fell into their hands, unwittingly drawing them into a decades-old dusty tale of South City. As they spent more time together, their feelings warmed, yet they remained unaware of the hidden two-generation bond behind their serendipitous meeting.
