Lin Shen, who went to prison three years ago for accidentally hurting someone while saving his childhood friend Su Xiaoyu, has nothing but debt and neighbors' disdain after release. When desperate, Su Xiaoyu shows up with her rebellious dropout sister Su Xiaoxia—their fish pond in the fishing village is in dire straits: rumors say they 'curse fish,' half the fish died suddenly at night, and a competitor threatens to take the pond. Su Xiaoyu says, 'Help us save the pond, and we'll help you find the courage to live.' Lin wanted to run from his past, but in the sisters' stubbornness, he sees light: Su Xiaoyu's three-year-hidden crush, Su Xiaoxia's shift from calling him a 'criminal' to secretly mending his net, and the little fish that survived the cold wave... But when the man he hurt years ago comes with an IOU, and the truth about the dead fish points to the village's 'local tyrant,' can they save the pond—and their unspoken feelings?
