Zhao Xue, a merchant's daughter, struggles to keep her father's "Fuxing Restaurant" afloat amid harassment from powerful figures and squeezing from competitors. She hires Chen Yunting, a clumsy "troublemaker" house servant who breaks dishes and miscalculates accounts—yet somehow solves every crisis by accident: exposing fake ledgers, fending off thugs, and even using medical skills to save guests when the restaurant is poisoned. As they grow closer, Chen's hidden jade pendant and late-night secret letters hint he's no ordinary servant. When a powerful family forces a marriage proposal on Zhao Xue, Chen finally takes out a token from the year his family was raided—he's the son of a framed Vice Minister of the Ministry of Revenue, hiding to investigate his family's injustice, and Fuxing Restaurant holds the key evidence to the case.
