Bestselling author Lingchuan Beibei rose to fame with her novel *Chasing Memories*, where the male lead "Chen Zhiyi" is based on Chen Zhien—her first love hidden for eight years. They promised to attend the same university, but Zhien vanished before the college entrance exam without a goodbye. At her book signing, Beibei gets an anonymous letter with the glass marble she once gave Zhien, signed "Chen Zhien, who owes you an explanation". Following the clue to an old bookstore, she pushes the door and sees Zhien sitting by the windowsill reading. It turns out he had leukemia back then and disappeared to avoid dragging her down. He's been secretly watching her, even as her "anonymous reader". Now reunited, will they rekindle their love or let memories stay perfect?
