To avoid the crown prince struggle, Li Ke, Prince of Qi in the Tang Dynasty, deliberately pretends to be an idle "virtuous prince", spending days in teahouses and mediating trivial disputes for commoners. Until he saves Su Wan, a female historian hunted by powerful officials, he uncovers a rebellion plot—officials forged disaster relief grain accounts to frame the crown prince. Li Ke hides behind a careless facade, secretly contacts old allies to investigate, and even risks exposure to protect Su Wan. When rebels storm the palace, this "most useless virtuous prince" finally crushes the conspiracy, defending the Tang Dynasty and the person he cherishes.
