Wei Linran, a hermit cultivator searching for a lost ancient spiritual jade, stumbles into the "Sixth Day Drama Crew" which is filming a fantasy drama. There he meets Liu Huige, a nitpicky and stubborn female director—he mocks the crew's "magic effects" as childish, while she yells, "How dare an extra question the director!" But when Wei uses real spiritual power to repair a broken prop, strange things start happening: the "evil spirit scene" actually becomes haunted, and he catches an actor mid-air when the wire breaks... Forced to team up, they uncover secrets behind the crew—only to find the jade Wei's been searching for is embedded in Liu's director's chair?
