When the Immortal Lord tries to activate the "Spirit Gathering Array" to devour her entire village, Lin fights back: she traps him with a fisherman's net array and stabs him with a dagger soaked in the grievance of her family's wrongful death—a force that counteracts the Immortal Lord's life-force cultivation. In the end, the Immortal Sect collapses. She rebuilds her home with surviving mortals, and Gu Chen stays by her side to guard their ordinary happiness.
