Famous Shanghai opera performers Zhang Tingrui and Li Shengxuan were once the most well-matched stage partners. Their acclaimed performance of *The Peony Pavilion* made them household names across the city, but a deliberately misleading misunderstanding tore them apart, and they went their separate ways for ten years. Now, the local opera troupe has invited them to reunite on stage. The two act cold and distant toward each other upon reunion, yet both harbor unspoken guilt and lingering affection. As they rehearse together repeatedly, the truth behind their old rift gradually comes to light. Will they repair their broken relationship and reignite their long-lost romance amid the fluttering stage costumes and rising curtains?
