"Wind Rises with the Crops" follows Zhang Yingjie, a designer returning to his hometown to fulfill his mother's last wish of developing a cultural and creative park. From sabotaging each other to collaborating on restoring the hall's antiques, they uncover a faded marriage certificate that reveals an untold love story—Zhang's mother and Luo's grandfather were once each other's unfulfilled love. As the hall's mortise and tenon joints are reconnected and long-buried regrets are healed, the two young people learn the true meaning of inheritance amid the tension between "preservation" and "change," and finally grasp their own promise among the wind-blown wheat.
