Hongcheng shipowner Shen Mochuan lies comatose from a severe illness, while his family fractures over inheritance. The housekeeper brings 8-year-old Su Xiaotang, a "lucky blessing girl" from the countryside, to ward off misfortune. Xiaotang arrives with her grandma's osmanthus cake, only to be scorned by Shen elders as "poor and unlucky". But whenever she sings nursery rhymes beside Shen Mochuan's bed, the comatose man's fingers twitch. Shockingly, the longevity lock around Xiaotang's neck is the love token Shen once gave his missing daughter-in-law—she's the Shen family's long-lost eldest grandchild! When family enemies try to kidnap Xiaotang to hide the truth, she uses childlike wit to defuse danger, and her warmth wakes Shen Mochuan, reuniting the broken Shen family.
