Socially anxious sweet romance screenwriter Lin Xiaoman is on the verge of unemployment for failing to write “real heartbeat,” while arrogant top star Lu Jingshen is pushed to the bottom of public opinion by anti-fans for refusing to act in sweet dramas. An accidental touch during a script collaboration triggers their “heartbeat sync”—when Lin writes a kiss scene, Lu’s ears burn; when Lu panics from being surrounded, Lin struggles to breathe. Forced to “bind” to break the sync, they go from loathing each other to searching for childhood clues, only to find that the bullied little boy Lin saved with a candy ten years ago is exactly Lu Jingshen now. When the sync becomes a “switch for mutual crush,” can they turn the script’s sweetness into reality?
