Chen Mo, an ordinary worker, was seen as an outcast since childhood due to his "heterochromatic eyes." An accident—breaking an antique—awakened his hidden power: he could see a relic's past—from the firing temperature of a Qing Dynasty official kiln bowl to the tear stains of a Republic of China jade hairpin, even the "time cracks" in fakes. He used this ability to earn medical fees for his terminally ill mother, but was framed by a greedy antique dealer for selling counterfeits. Worse, a mysterious organization targeted his "treasure-seeing eyes" and plotted to steal his corneas. As Chen Mo fights to clear his name and save his mother, he discovers his power is linked to his missing father's "heirloom"—could his eyes be the key to unlocking his father's secret?
