Lin Xiaoman, the night guardian of the planetarium, has spent three years adjusting her telescope every night to capture the "blue moonlight" her late mother never saw. One early morning, drunk photographer Lu Shiyan stumbles into the observatory—claiming to shoot "the loneliest moonlight in the city"—and catches Xiaoman crying behind the lens. From clashing to staying up together: Lu fixes her mother’s old telescope, while Xiaoman helps him sort photos of his missing sister (a former volunteer here who left a final note: "Gonna see the blue moonlight"). When the blue moonlight finally shines, Xiaoman cries looking at the lens. Lu wipes her tears gently: "Where the moonlight kisses, Mom and Sis are saying 'We're here.'" What he doesn’t say is: "I want to watch every moon with you."
