Su Xiaoman (played by Yang Rong), the "little tyrant" of the vegetable market fish stall, is forced to fake a marriage with Gu Shen (played by Li Tai), a top star in hiding due to a scandal—she needs money for her terminally ill mother, while he needs a "good man" persona to make a comeback. They start with mutual dislike: Xiaoman thinks Gu Shen is "useless," Gu Shen finds Xiaoman "too vulgar." But gradually, they discover each other's softness: Gu Shen helps Xiaoman take care of her mother, Xiaoman teaches Gu Shen to cook fish-flavored shredded pork to heal his childhood wounds. Just as the fake marriage turns real, Gu Shen's old scandal resurfaces, implicating Xiaoman's missing father—turns out Gu Shen took the blame for her father! Can this "bickering couple" pass the test of lies and true love and really get their "happy ending"?
