Jinping Village follows a women-dominant tradition. Saintess Lin Wantang bears the mission of guarding the village's thousand-year-old gold mine. To fend off the clan elders' pressure to "continue the lineage," she forces Chu Xiuyuan, a parentless outsider, to be her live-in son-in-law. However, this seemingly submissive son-in-law is actually a secret guard investigating a gold mine theft! When the icy saintess meets the "wolf in sheep's clothing" son-in-law, they go from mutual suspicion to fighting side by side against external enemies who want to steal the mine. As the thousand-year-old secret under the gold mine gradually emerges, their relationship quietly shifts amid swords and shadows.
