Su Wan, an amnesiac herbalist, saves Gu Zhao, the seriously injured young master of the Marquis Mansion, only to find her missing sister's jade pendant on him. As Gu Zhao deliberately gets closer, she fragments remembers being "Jinyan", the most ruthless dark guard in the camp, and Gu Zhao is the "murderer" who wiped out her family years ago? But when the truth is revealed, it turns out Gu Zhao hid her memory to protect her and took the blame for her——the bloodbath was a frame-up by treacherous officials. He has guarded her for ten years, just wanting her to live as "Su Wan" instead of "Jinyan". Amid the tug of love and hate, they uncover the court's secrets together and retrieve the "timely joy" stolen by fate.
