During the preparation for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Zhang Xiaomeng, a new volunteer full of enthusiasm to "let the world feel China's warmth", clashes with Lin Shen, the venue technical consultant, on her first day—Lin, a retired gymnast who missed the Olympics due to injury, is obsessed with "perfect procedures" and dismisses Zhang's "humanized ideas" as "trouble". But when Zhang searches every corner of the venue to help a foreign reporter find a lost child, and uses her hand-drawn map to reunite an elderly man with his family, Lin is gradually touched by her passion. Zhang also discovers that Lin often stares at his old gymnastics uniform while debugging lights late at night. From rivals to comrades, they solve sign failures and scheduling crises together. As the Olympic countdown begins, they not only rediscover their shared belief in the Olympic spirit but also turn their unfulfilled regrets into a new starting point for each other.
