Lin Xiaoman, an office worker, is obsessed with the survival game *Doomsday Puzzle*. One day, she’s approached by Gu Yichen, a soft, puppy-like guy—he not only remembers her favorite taro milk tea (30% sugar) but also secretly keeps the “lucky coin” she always forgets to pick up in the game. As they fall in love, Xiaoman encounters the game’s final boss “Zero”: his finger mole, the crescent-shaped eyes when he smiles—all identical to Gu Yichen! To make things worse, the game’s “elimination rules” start leaking into reality: a colleague disappears after failing the game, and a blood-red “X” (just like in the game) appears on her wall. When Gu Yichen cries and hugs her, saying, “I’m trapped in the code—I approached you to find the key to break the loop,” Xiaoman realizes: the boy who even helps her twist bottle caps is the “game creator” controlling everyone’s fate, and their love was already written in the game’s “death ending.”
