"The Heart's Ailment" follows Gu Shen, a cardiac surgeon who closed himself off after a surgical accident three years ago, becoming the "scalpel without warmth" in the hospital. His world shifts when Su Xiaoman, a sunny intern nurse, stumbles into his consulting room—she finds his old medical records hidden in the drawer, presses him on why he gave up emergency medicine, and even secretly cares for the little girl who survived the accident. Gu Shen goes from resistance to being warmed by her, but just as they fall for each other, a shocking truth hits: Su Xiaoman is the younger sister of the patient from that accident! Will guilt push them apart, or can love heal their "heart ailments"? Can this redemptive love cross the shadow of the past?
