Xu Jiajia is forced to sell herself to pay off her father's huge debts. In despair, she crashes into the arms of Pang Zhenqi, an “unemployed vagrant”. To escape debt collectors, she is forced to live with this “soft rice eater” who eats her instant noodles and stays in her rental house. However, she gradually finds that he always “coincidentally” appears in dangerous moments—he scares away debt collectors with a casual remark, and rescues her alone when she is kidnapped by creditors. Until one day, a group of men in suits find Pang Zhenqi and call him “Chief”, Xu Jiajia suddenly realizes: this man who eats soft rice is actually a retired God of War in hiding, and his “soft rice” is actually a long-hidden “protection plan”.
