After three years of drought, everyone in Qingniu Village is starving—except Chen Mancang, the "Fat Man," who’s labeled a "burden" for his weight. Little do they know this ridiculed man is a reborn savior with modern farming memories: he digs secret canals for spring water, uses straw compost to fix hard soil, even grows drought-resistant wheat on saline land. But just as he’s about to prove himself, landlord Zhou Bapi steals his test field, and the village chief’s daughter Liu Xiu’er calls him crazy… When the first wheat ears bend the stalks, how will this former joke make the whole village kneel and call him "Living Buddha"?
